IT'S POTTY TIME!

We are excited that Mia has began to show interest in potty training. She has successfully done pee pee in the toilet with one small poo poo. I was amazed how much she understood when it came down to the potty. She gets a kick out of the Sesame Street potty seat and flushing the toilet. We know it will take some time before she will master the technique, but look forward to using less diapers :). Anyone with good potty training tricks? I have a few in mind, but not sure if she is ready or will understand. Let me know what you guys think?

Katherine's Birthday party at the YMCA- Worcester

Our dear friends Jerry & Yomary held their daughters 3rd birthday party at the YMCA in Worcester. They had a large kids play gym with lots of large toys, balls and mats to roll around on. The kids had a blast running around and playing with all the toys.
Meet baby Natalie. She's the new member of the Shuris family, born December 6th, 2005 and weighs less than a peanut (about 7lbs now). Amelia (new proud mom) is holding Mia.

Here is Mia and new friend Ariana playing in the large bouncy castle.
Here are all the kids posing for a quick picture. The kids couldn't wait to dig into the Dora cake.

MIA IN ACTION

Check out Mia's 2nd set of new wheels. It's still a bit large for her now, but she loves cruising around the living room. It will be a while before she reaches the pedals but that doesn't stop her.

Mia had a blast learning to finger paint this week. She managed to do a little face painting as well. It was a lot fun watching the little artist at work. At the same time using the opportunity to teach her basic colors.
I knew the day would come when Mia would eat a crayon. Don't be alarmed, she didn't eat the whole crayon. Kids are notorious for putting things in their mouths. It was only a matter of time. Those pearly whites turned a nice shade of blue, but daddy made her brush her teeth. She didn't mind it at all. She loves brushing her teeth. Daddy took a picture of Mia in action. We had to replace that tooth brush.
